As Ikebana is a three-dimensional composition, the space in the rear should be fully considered. Putting shorter stems, Jushi (subordinate stems) in the space to is important to provide the appearance of depth.

Do you see I a few greens and yellows coming up slightly from the the back of pick prairie gentias? I rearranged the materials of second work with a different vase, at home, but I can’t do it well now with this kind of small vase since I haven’t learned it…. (*_*)

  • トルコ桔梗 Prairie gentian – pink
    (great compassion, happy chatter)
  • カンガルーポー Kangaroo Paw - yellow
(surprise, wonder) *Western Australia’s floral emblem
  • Green leaves -(sorry, I don’t know…)
